From data to knowledge: Digital humanities as mediators between information and interpretation
From 23-27 February 2015, the second annual conference of the Association of Digital Humanities in German-speaking Countries was organized by the Centre for Information Modelling - Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities at the University of Graz.
In workshops, lectures, panels and discussions, the central questions were explored,
(a) what added value results for knowledge processes in the humanities through the use of digital methods in research,
(b) what significance data will play in the generation of knowledge in the humanities in the future and
(c) what interdisciplinary synergies for theory formation can be expected from the methods, techniques and infrastructures developed in the digital humanities.
Pre-Conference “Digital Library”, workshops and main conference will take place at the central campus of the Karl-Franzens-University (Universitätsplatz 3 and Universitätsstraße 15, 8010 Graz).
